Hello everyone.
I became a member here just over a year ago, but work and other things took over and, although I've looked at the site, I haven't been around on the forums for ages.
I think this is such a brilliant site I don't know why I haven't been more involved, but I'm back and looking forward to chatting to people, learning more and hopefully adding the odd (probably very odd) useful comment. Take care everyone and I look forward to getting to know you a bit!

When the Snoopy movie came out there was a 'create your own Peanut character' which I've done a few times... This really does look like me !!

Hi Muzza and thank you.
I've just been looking at your Stats ... wow! You seem to have been so successful with the Newcastle diet. Very impressive.
What made you give it a go? (If you don't mind me asking)

Hi @Cloudlesssky How are you doing?
Hello and thanks for asking!
I've been away for three days, but I have been good!
Breakfasts are always good when you're in a hotel, I think.
I like the egg and tomato, with a little bit of tomato, so its been a good start to the day.
What about you? Do you have a fairly settled menu plan which you are able to keep to?

Thanks Cloudlessky

Its a great question and I will need to answer it in full on here at some point but a quick summary
  • Fear after bad HbA1C. (Of many things but mainly Diabetes progressing)
  • Dr Google lots of research leading to Prof Taylor, DUK and a potential solution
  • The belief that massive change is not really harder than little changes (all change is hard)
  • And a big part was sharing the journey with a couple on here @Borzoi and @EdMac
  • The support of all on here including others who had already been on the journey (that's why I love this place)

I think it would be fair to say that I have a regular enough list of things I eat, but as to if its 'settled' well lets just say its still early days for me to be really settled into it.

Im glad you're doing ok :)
