As with most foods if you Google "Scotch Pies carbs" you will get your answer, which is probably that they are too high in carbs.

If you are settled on a low carb way of eating then a Scotch pie at the start of a day out and about should do little damage - one every day for a week with little activity, not such a good idea.

I have an obliging other half who let's me have a bite or 2 of his. That's always enough to satisfy the taste or craving, but not enough to do much damage, if any.
Some things I've tried this way I now find I no longer like...including bread!

Off the top of my head, I feel like a scotch pie should be better than the other pies: the crust is so thin and hard, and there's so much densely packed fatty meat and soupy grease inside. Made with lard too. It depends how resistant you are I suppose, but I'm pretty sure you could have one and walk it off. Maybe try it, test your levels and see how it works out. I don't think it will be too bad as far as treats go. Anyway, enjoy Scotland- wish I was going!
