soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
I like the toe socks from Toe Toe. They work very well and of course protect toes from rubbing against each other. The cotton ones are quite bulky, but soft. The woolly hiking ones are cosy and the pure silk are positively luxurious, if costly. You do need to be quite limber to put them on though.

Perhaps I have answered my own question. These - http://www.cosyfeet.com/socks/diabetic-friendly - seem to fit the bill. I have other Cosyfeet products and they are good excellent.

I've worn my socks inside out for as long as I can remember. The seam drives be bonkers.

Cosyfeet do diabetic socks and have a good range of sock height and thickness and colour seamless etc choices of the socks too.
Bit more expensive possibly but so worth it for the comfort factor!
Another place to consider is the market -some markets have fabulous diabetic socks at good prices , depends on town you live in or near possibly?
Hope this helps...
Anna.
