It depends on the lancing device, my Accu-Chel Multiclix and Fastclix have a six lancet drum that when you change lancets they retract inside.
They are save to dispose of with out a Sharps container.
My test strips go into the bin as is. If you do not want to do that, put them back into a empty test strip container and then dispose of them that way.Yeah mine is the same,what am I meant to do with the test strips?
We just put them in the bin with normal rubbish. I think I was told that only needles and sharp stuff needed to go in yellow box and everything else in domestic waste. Empty insulin pens, cassettes, fast clix thingys, empty insulin penfills all go in the bin here. You could get a mobile cassette meter for going away and that would mean there'd be no strips
