Shift Working

I am type 2 and take metformin and have recently been converted to Insulatard insulin (12 units a day)
I asked for a reasonable adjustment at work under the DDA to try and come off shifts, however my employers medical officer refused this as he said my sugar levels at night were similar to those during the day.
Have they acted unlawfully?

Hi Raole and welcome to the forum,
Unfortunately your question is one that would require an answer from someone qualified in Disability Discrimination law to be able to answer. I certainly would not trust any information given by a well-meaning but nevertheless unqualified person on a web forum. The contributors on this diabetes forum are are fellow diabetes patients and the forum is a means whereby contributors can input their own experiences and knowledge in the hope that this might help others. I'm afraid it is not intended to be a legal aid site, much as I am sure many of us would like to be able to help you.
