We are a parent run support group for children with diabetes living in and around the Shrewsbury area.
We would like to minimise the isolation a family may experience after diagnosis by sharing experiences and getting to know each other.
We have arranged for children to go on supervised holidays, where they will learn how to deal with diabetes independently and give the knowledge and confidence to lead a full and active life. We organise fun activities and educational events that benefit the whole family because we know that diabetes does not only affect the child with diabetes, it affects the family as well. We also meet for just a coffee and a chat!
