Hi my husband has recently been treated for sepsis due to infection in foot. This was the day after he had an ulcer debriefed. He subsequently had an abscess which caused the loss of a toe. He now keeps getting a temp of 37.7-38 after eating and bloods are higher than normal. He has pain in left side which is causing burping and he says it’s trapped wind. I’m wondering if it can be associated with his diabetes though? The doctor at clinic yesterday says the foot is showing no infection. Would be grateful for some feedback please.

We cannot diagnose on this forum, but it does not sound like his symptoms are diabetes related. Seek medical help if it persists or gets worse.

With the pain in his left side elevated blood glucose and a mild fever it would make sense to have a doctor look at other causes than the foot.
