New offering from SRSLY.
Took delivery of these today, not cheap and I wasn’t too hopeful of what they’d be like, but the chance of a croissant was too much to pass up.

Have to say I’m delighted with them.
Smaller than a usual croissant but very filling.
I’m not sure how they’ve managed it, but the texture is spot on.
Buttery, very tasty, I’d say near as dammit to a real croissant as you’re likely to get for a low carb offering.

1g carb per croissant. Highly recommend.

Now that LivLife lo-carb bread has seemingly disappeared, I might have to have a look at these and other SRSLY low carb products.

The UK is amazing for low carb and gluten free. Whenever I’m in the UK I’m blown away by the food options. They even do gluten free croissants, satisfying the French in me. Canada lacks greatly in this area.

They have produced a bagel as well - it's on order. I've beena bit annoyed at the delivery system around Christmas - I ordered for delivery week before, order was processed, and then not delivered until first week in January. Box crushed on delivery, not the first time. Entire bag of rolls lost to mould.

I still like the products but the order and delivery system is convoluted and more than a bit hit and miss.

Please update on Bagels when they arrive.
Agree with delivery system, although this time was fast and efficient.

Bagels due next Monday. Not getting hopes up but getting hopes up.

delivery is either no problem, or terrible. I've had to complain more than once - worst event was when the delivery driver hid my delivery behind my neighbour's recycling bins, without telling anyone. And I was in when the 'delivery' was made. Neighbours didn't find it for two weeks until they put the bins out, and you can imagine the condition it was in.

Feel your pain @KennyA

Although I do sympathise with the companies themselves. They pick a courier company and it seems to be pot luck across the country how efficient it proves to be.
My favourite used to be DPD, who were regular and efficient.
Now it’s a nightmare and I avoid due to experiences like yours!

Evri were a total nightmare, I would not place an order if I saw it was Evri.
But now we have a new crew on my patch and Evri are by far the best and most reliable!
How long that will last I have no idea.

I stopped using them when I had problems with a couple of deliveries in a row, not so much the delivery side but the customer service side. We all have different tastes I suppose but I’ve gone back to the Low Carb Food Co. As I prefer their products. May try out the croissants though as I was reminiscing with hubby one of our go to Sunday brunches from many moons ago.

We had the most wonderful holiday in western Canada, however I found low carbing very difficult. We didn't eat in any fast food restaurants but it was extremely difficult. We did lots of hiking and I bought bags of nuts to keep myself going.

Well I got myself some croissants & bagels just to try. The bagels are quite nice, very light and had one for lunch toasted with cream cheese & smoked salmon, but the croissants are a triumph! Just a couple of bites per croissant but they taste just like a real croissant and the lamination is very impressive and me & hubby (both trained chefs & fairly competent bakers for a little time) can’t work out how they’ve managed it.

They are tiny hubby ate his in one bite ( he won’t be getting any more!) I would definitely buy them again and probably the bagels too, though the seeds on the bagel are a bit annoying as they fall of everywhere.

Both good for a change

I really need to unfollow this thread or come back to the UK much sooner than planned and bribe some people into ordering for me so I can set up a croissant smuggling scheme to the Netherlands.
Do they freeze?

Bagels arrived today at 1130 (Yodel). Order better packed this time, in a strurdy box with proper tape.

Anyway - I hadn't had a bagel for over five years. So I did one lightly toasted, ham, cream cheese, Silver Springs jalapeno mustard.

Exceeded expectations, and exceeded wildest dreams really. These are really really good. Miles better than the dense doughy stuff normally available from supermarkets, and as good as the best deli products. Recommended.
