Stem cell research

Was just wondering if anyone knows anyway that people can sign up to diabetic research?
I know there is a lot going on with stemcell research at the moment and was wondering if there are any diabetic programs going on and if the average type 1 can sign up to be a participant?

They are always looking for volunteers. It may not be specifically about stem cells but they do research.
