Without knowing your macros (carbs/protein etc.) or your current weight/height and exercise etc. It is hard to guess but the level of calories you describe sound low, are you really sure you are eating enough? For an “average” male its around 2000 - 2500 calories a day.Hi all
Ok, i am a little nervous, as i stopped takeing metformin a week ago because of the side effects (i was only on them for 14days)
However im still loseing weight
I have packed away loads of food (1400-1600cal) just to keep my weight up slightly but its still coming off a week later with out trying.
So getting alittle nervous as not sure if its still a little metformin in me,thyroid, or something more sinister.
Holy ****!Sorry but 1400-1600 cals is the level they gave to participants in the Minnesota starvation experiment..
Why so little food?

As a 180cm male, with about 30 mins cardio a day and gym going etc. I am keeping average 73kg on approx 2500 calories a day. If I was eating the amount you describe, I would expect to be losing, and quite a lot)
1500 calories is in many respects the bare minimum for a male (not sure female). Any lower outside of medical supervision is not recommended.
What about fasting and low carb no sugar?
Im definitely not use to so many calories.
My exercise at moment is at least 2 hrs aday 5day as of last week.
Most of my food has been alot of fish and i have been haveing veg and a 2 to 4 (tops) of bread.
I would probably start the day with 30g porridge and protein powder.
But now im packing in even more food and ****
Perhaps im just over reacting, i dont know, hopefully have a blood test next week to find out either way.
