I went to see my doctor today and she said that she didnot have enough time due to emergeies to go through all the tests that had been done last week!
she has made me a appointment to see her on wensday afternoon it is a double appointment it will give her 40 minutes with me! so she can explain what every test result is!
but i am still no closer!
she would not tell me what the fasting blood test was! she said that she would prefer to explain all the tests in detail and where we go from there!
i am affraid now as this means another two days of waiting around yet again! I have told her that my blood sugars are all over the palce!
Last night 2 hours after dinner, it was fresh chicken breasts with lemon drizzled over the top, fresh lemon, and veg, my blood sugar shot up to 18.2.
that made me feel very sick, i am weeing so much at the minute and needing to drink alot! my blood sugar is 8.9 at minute! i am scared as i don't know or what i should be doing next!

hya sandy,
at least u will find out for definate in two days , i think youd have to be dead to get 40 mins with my gps so well done,i know it is distressing having to wait for a diagnosis, im waiting at moment too for other health probs,
basically keep off sugar and carbs till youve seen them and let us know how u get on
good luck

Hi Sandy,

You are showing all the symptoms of very high blood sugars, so for the next 2 days don't eat any cereals, bread, pasta, rice or potatoes, and of course no sugar. Also limit the amount of fruit that you eat. Go for as much meat, dairy and other veg, especially green veg, as you like. That should help to bring your BS down to a more stable level.

Hi Dennis,
i will do my best, i have already been avoiding pasta and potatoes etc, must admit i was offered a beef chow mein, but i turned it down, last week i would of jumped at the chance of having a chow mein!
i don't eat ceral as can't have milk other than soya milk, but don't like the smell of it! i am eating as much veg as i can!

Hi totsy,
I asked the doctor for more time, as she is the new gp i went for, she said no problem, i was shocked that she went for it, i explained that i would prefer to be in full knowledge.
