Type 1 sudden hypo unawareness

I've been on citalopram for approaching 1 month now (on Monday next week) and I have had 3 hypos over the last two days which have caught me completely unaware. I usually become aware around 4.3 but I have been as low as 2.8 today without any symptoms. Is anyone aware of this as a side effect of citalopram?

If you have diabetes, you may need to check your blood glucose more frequently, as citalopram may affect the levels of sugar in your blood. Your doctor will be able to advise you about this.

I know that some people have seen a rise in blood sugars and others have seen them drop. You really need to discuss with your G.P.
