Can I ask a question my levels are fine at two hours but sometimes after certain foods such as baked beans I have a high reading after 1 hour so it could be 10 at 1 hour but at two hours it will be 7 to low 8 does that mean I should not eat that food even though after two hours I am OK. the difference I know is how quickly I use up the sugar for the reading to come down but is that high reading something to bother about. :?

soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
Sometimes, eating a bit less[smaller portion] of a favourite food will keep the blood glucose in the target zone
I personally have a bit of chocolate every day, but it's a tiny bit.

Hi. I wouldn't worry too much about the reading at 1 hour. As your levels come back down to a sensible level at 2 hours you are having a reasonable insulin response but still not as good as a non-diabetic. You might want to tweak you food a bit. Baked beans are often stuffed with added sugar so choose a low sugar one and/or read the label
