I am have been suspended from work for the last 2 months, I admit that i made a couple of mistakes, but i was moved in to a small area where the temperature was over 26°c,and the results of a risk assessment had not been implemented, I have seen the company doctor who agreed that I was fit to return to work, I am still being paid, but the company does not seem to be doing anything.
Have you contacted HR or maybe a Union ? You don't give many facts so not easy to advise but diabetes is covered under The Equality Act so affords some employee protection.
Disagree, stay away from Unions, they attach a militant stigma on you, they know nothing about running a company. You don't say what you were suspended for? You have many rights as an employee depending on the length of service you have. You can't stay suspended for ever, two months is a long time, sounds to me that the employer maybe building a case and so you should be.
I'd like to help you but without background information, the whole truth and nothing but, it's difficult to advise you. If you don't want to post it all here talk in in confidence and for free to your local ACAS office, they're not interested in taking your details just giving you solid advice, but you must be prepared to tell both sides truthfully. Kind wishes, Q..
