..like Gaelic coffee! Mmmmmm....

What do you call a Gaelic coffee without the Gaelic? And don't say coffee....

I think it's less than 1g carb without the alcofrol!

The little luxury I am really looking forward to is bacon and eggs - honestly, it is. Being on the ND It's something I have not been allowed to have. So, not Monday coming, but the Monday after, bacon and eggs for lunch. I really can't wait.

Can I send you some chickens so you can have your own free-range organic eggs? There's a bunch of young 'uns on my lawn at present and they have to go before I no longer have a lawn!

Oh bless, how cute. It would be lovely, but I think my naughty terriers would frighten the poor wee things out of laying. Organic eggs do sound yummy though.

Sweetheart, there are no carbs in whisky! (Scotch, anyway . . .). So as long as you don't put sugar in it, you're okay with Gaelic coffee. :D

I have been trying to decide if I miss anything from my old diet and the only thing that I haven't found a low carb substitute for is an Apricot Danish Pastry.

Having been pushed to identify the guilty pleasure I have missed has now made me obsess about the rotten thing and like a song that gets stuck in your brain I will now have to live with the picture of a moist apricot covered in sugary syrup nestling down into a bed of buttery, flaky warm deliciousness.

So on that depressing note I shall take my leave and go and contemplate whether to have mushrooms with my bacon and eggs tomorrow morning.

I used to like you Catza  I seriously can't wait. I am counting down the days, not 'till the end of the diet, but 'till I can have bacon and eggs. I love mushrooms, and toms, and sausages, and... and...

Viv,

I usually have brandy with mine. I'm not a whisky or whiskey fan, despite being half Scots. I don't miss the brandy, MH & I were never big drinkers, although I think I might still miss making cocktails with my grown up kids at Christmas....Lime Daiquiris...Mmmmm.
