Have the rules regarding informing the DVLA regarding tablet medication changed? I was told that I did not need to inform the DVLA if my type 2 diabetes was controlled by tablet medication alone, but have now read on line that the DVLA now requires you to inform them if it is tablet medication controlled .
I am on Metformin slow release 1000mg twice daily, Gliclazide 80mg twice daily and Pioglitazone 15mg once daily. Hope someone can cast light on this enquiry .

No you do not need to advise them. Take a look on the DVLA website for clarification

The rules are you have to tell them if the control you have can cause hypos

Performing can not gliclazide can
