People who are touchy.......feign indignation at the slightest thing. Hypocrites, bullies and cowards.
I had a neck injury some years ago which damaged the disc at C6. This caused the exact same symptoms as you have described.

The nerve is trapped and the pain you are getting and the tingling is what as known as 'referred pain' which is pain along the route of the nerve. It will vary as to where the actual nerve is trapped. I was off work for nearly 6 months eventually before it all got better.

The treatment was firstly a scan and X-Rays to determine the site of the problem. Without that the Dr cannot possibly know what the problem is and how to treat it. I was given various painkillers which had to be increased in strength until they hit on one that actually deadened the pain. I had to wear a neck brace and soft collar at times. I had months of Physiotherapy and spinal traction because of the severity of the injury. At times I actually screamed with the acute episodes of pain ! Not good.

I am surprised that the Dr has given you this drug Lyrica (Pregabalin) without first finding out what the actual problem is. It can badly affect your Bg levels along with a myriad of other possible side effects.......just what you DON'T need ! Over the period I was being treated I learned a lot about neck problems and nerve pain resulting from them.

Personally I would ask to be referred to a Specialist and a Physio. Someone who has a better grasp and knowledge of the problem.

I trapped a nerve in my neck when i was at college. I had pain as you describe. I had xrays and a myelogram to confirm diagnosis. It was a good long while before my neck felt "normal" again. I was treated with pain killers and anti immflams as well as having physio. I would ask to see a physio at the bare minimum.

Lack of choice of insulin for newly diagnosed patients.
Dog owners who let their dogs poop in the street-a hazard for most, but worse if you're visually impaired!

Hi, r u on Lantus? It's notorious for causing pain in shoulder, arms. I had strange nerve-type pains down my arm into my wrist while I was on it.

Hi the nerve disscomfort you are having is probabliy very simular to sciatica.i have had the problem and after weeks of phisyo nothing changed so i made an appointment with a registered osteopath and after the first session the problem was gone. Look in your local phone directory to find one near to you,but they are fairly expensive between £35 and £45 for the first sessipn and you may only need the one. I don't think you can see them on the nhs but many top private hospitals use them.
Regards aboz.

Hi, I agree with cugila, I've had this trapped nerve agony, and went through the physio torture, but I did learn quite abit, about sitting posture and some simple exercises, which I passed on to my brother recently, and they helped his trapped nerve, don't know about any of you , but I found that a trapped nerve gave me more pain then anything else I have had, its a sort of , ''makes you feel sick'' pain  ,
