Type 1 Diabetic’s who’s had a Gastric Bypass

I’m hoping and praying that there’s another type 1 diabetic who’s been told they need a gastric bypass to improve there situation ? I can’t seem to find much info on type 1s it’s mainly all type 2s which I understand but personally not what I need... what I need it a type 1 to speak to me who’s been through the journey or about to please please please reply.

Do you do a lot of exercise ? If so how do you control your levels and how do you maintain your energy levels when doing exercise ( hope that makes sense lol ) as I play rugby which is 80mins am I going to be able to maintain the energy and sugar levels for that amount of time with a small amount of food ( Bypass ) x
