Type 1 Honeymoon Period... Very vague to me!

Don't recollect it being called the Honeymoon Period but do remember the DSN explaining the principles behind it when my insulin doses were up and down.

Same here nobleheafd, maybe different hospitals in different counties have slightly different procedures ? Or could it be different for a child, because of the growing process and hormones ?? I must say I wasn't given a lot of information or support really, I feel a little vulnerable, bewildered and alone tbh.

Honestly, no one said to me anything about a honeymoon period or antibodies in a blood test,:wideyed: that was back in 1989. Anyone experience this or not experienced this years ago? would be interesting to
find out o_O

RRB

Twenty years ago my son as a teenager had to stop injecting insulin for a couple of months. We initially thought the original diagnosis was just a blip but the honeymoon didn't last and a typical T1 regimen was resumed...

Honeymoon was the term used at the time.
