type 2 and gluten intolerance

I've recently been thinking that I may have an intolerance to gluten as I feel bloated all the time with abdominal cramps, trapped wind, sometimes nausea and whenever I eat a meal with carbs I fall asleep after 10 or 20 minutes and this has become a recurring problem as I fall asleep just after the start of watching a film and wake up groggy just as it ends. My parents have noticed this and are concerned as not only do I do it, my mum sometimes does it as well.

I was wondering if this could be a intolerance to gluten or to carbohydrates in general and if anyone has had similar experiences.

Hi, I would say the best thing is for you and your mym to pay a visit to your doctor and discuss your symptoms. I have Coeliac disease and my close family members (children and siblings) were advised to be tested for Coeliac.
