Hi, i had GD during pregnancy and i've recently been diagnosed with T2, however one of my symptoms was weight loss, i was at a healthy weight and lost 20lbs within 2 months. I always thought weight loss was associated with T1 diabetics?

Any info would be great thanks!

Not true. Three months ago I went to my GP because I'd lost 9 lbs over 2 weeks and had slightly blurred vision - no other symptoms. My BG was 25 on testing and T2 confirmed fairly quickly. Getting my BG under control with a sensible diet and medication has resulted in a steady, controlled weight loss (which I needed in my case) but no sudden drops in weight.

Hi Faircot, thankyou for replying :) Do you know why T2's can lose weight as a symptom? Is it the same reasons why T1's lose weight?
