The following information is on the leaflet and website that comes with Bydureon:

Make sure your doctor knows if you are also using insulin. You should not use prandial insulin (such as Apidra®, Lantus®) while you are using this medicine. Using these medicines together may cause unwanted effects.

So why when I was prescribed Lantus was I told to continue with Bydureon??

Hi @Sallybear,
If I was in your position I would ring the Consultant's secretary and ask that he is contacted so that he can give you an explanation as you are confused by the PIL that comes with Bydureon.

@jack412 Ha ha you are probable right, I was really stroppy with them!!

I have actually just looked this up and the type of drugs that Bydureon, Byetta and Victoza are, are starting to be licenced for use with Levimir and Lantus, so they must be ok.

if it was me, I'd ask about just having the insulin..then I'd get my head around a LCHF diet, which will have a very small 2hr rise above your base
