Having benefitted from the Newcastle diet methodology, albeit seven years ago, I have always advocated seeking medical advice and support for anyone thinking of using very low calorie diets to improve blood glucose levels.
I would think this article emphasises the need to research and consider ones individual health needs, and seek that support and advice before jumping in.
