vlc diet but blood sugar still high

    I've been doing the Newcastle diet since Monday but I find my BM is around 10 -13 which is about the same as it is when I'm eating like ****. I'm not finding the diet hard and am loosing weight but I did expect eating considerably less to reduce by blood sugar and don't understand why it isn't.
