Hi I'm a type 1 diabetic and my weight is going up
Even though I eat two meals a day and sometimes even one, I'm on long acting and short acting insulin at the moment but it's causing weight gain... Does anyone have or had similar issue or know of any way to treat it?

Hi, you control your weight with carb intake, less carb, less bolus insulin , less weight ...... carbs = weight
your lower carb intake will need to replace the lost calories with fat/oils for energy, fats don't make you fat,
google... eat fat lose weight

get back to eating 3 meals a day, it's healthy

MUFAs/PUFAs [mono, polly fats] In people with type 2 diabetes, a Mediterranean-style, MUFA-rich eating pattern may benefit
glycemic control and CVD risk factors and can therefore be recommended as an effective
alternative to a lower-fat, higher-carbohydrate eating pattern.
