Hello everyone

just a little question, over the Xmas break this year I gained a couple of pounds.

I have been on Byetta now since 2008, very successfully, keeping to a low carb diet, eating less and walking my dog more.

I just cannot shift those extra 3 pounds, any ideas.

I take 2 Gliclacide per day, 2 Metformin twice a day.

Have my Diabetes Consultants appointment next month, would like to be back at 10.00 before then!

Regards, Pauline

If you hit Atkins Induction HARD for a fortnight, you'll lose 3lbs EASY. I'd be super careful with the Gliclazide/Byetta dose if you did go for the Induction route, though. Don't want to go hypo because of the Glic/Byetta...

I found my weight problem was certainly not helped by Glic. It caused other problems too and once those glic hit the bin for something else, the weight started to slowly shift.
I also inject Victoza which certainly helps, but I still need to observe good diet and of course portion control.
