The "starch-resistant" potatoes were bought frozen. The ones cooked from scratch were much, much nicer.How did the flavour of roasties cooked from scratch compare with potatoes given the 'resistant' starch' treatment?
@IanBish.
Some culinary herbs are really easy @DJC3 and worth the trouble. No need for green fingers.
I tend to stick to perennials; sage, thyme, rosemary and bay are reliable in Winter and mint varieties are pretty resilient. Bees love oregano flowers, but you'll get fewer leaves if you allow the plants to flower. French tarragon is not completely hardy, so best grown in a container and moved under glass in Winter.
Thank you for confirming my suspicions @IanBish. That's useful to know. I steer clear of potatoes myself, but still cook spuds from time to time for family and friends, some of whom have type 2 diabetes.The "starch-resistant" potatoes were bought frozen. Is Las Iguanas spice mix a Latin American creation @Rachox or did it originate in Mexico?Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a carb killa bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and another carb killa bar.
Dinner: Bahian chicken and mushroom curry made with a Las Iguanas spice mix with cauliflower rice.

Yes, they're all reliable @DJC3 no matter what the weather is like.Yes I have all those ( except tarragon which I don’t like) and they are all doing well. Long may they last!

Sounds excitingly different @Rachox. Thank you.The Las Iguanas menu says it’s Brazilian
What are CCB's?The favour? Does anyone still have the recipe or link to the infamous CCBs - yes I know I created the recipe (sorry about those burnt suacepans ) but that was about 6 Prime ministers and 1 monarch ago. Thanks in anticipation.
Caramel Chocolate Bars. Ground flaxseed, inulin bound with melted butter, a layer of caramel made from inulin and butter - hence the burnt saucepan reference and a dark chocolate probably with cream so a ganache? coating. I/we still have the moulds to make these into bars ( and the analysis, but not the recipe, in Cronometer - 3.4 carbs). Originally I was one of several who bought these monsters - they/that trend lasted a whileWhat are CCB's?
Thanks @anje. Think I finally settled on the last one - definitely no erithrytol ever again for me. Chocologic is very high fibreI love the search bar, searched for Caramel Chocolate Bars by member @ianpspurs , and presto!
Turns out @Rachox has made them in the past as well.
I think there is some variation in your historical recipes so pick your choice.
