Hospital food is shocking, I think you did really well to get away with a spike that was still less than double figures.
It is! Especially the stuff they serve to the patients - they try though.

Yes! Even though I've lived in my body for over 60+ years it still has the capacity to surprise me...

Agree hospital food is diabolical @DJC3 and @Calderbloke. Commercial condiments like pickle or mayonnaise always contain far too much sugar and salt to be healthy and my body does not handle bread well, so I take the easy route and avoid it completely!

Your omelette looks all the more enticing @Rachox with its fillings peeping out into view!

Hi @Rachox, I see you mention these quite a lot - would you see a bar as a lunchtime meal replacement? I'm looking to vary my options a bit as my daily schedule can be a bit reactive at the moment...
I don’t use them as a meal replacement as such, I just have them as snacks with coffee between breakfast and dinner. I guess they could be, it just depends if they fill you up enough. They contain Polyols as sweetener and can affect some people’s blood sugars. I’m ok with them and they satisfy my sweet tooth.

Thanks! I'm still getting the hang of all this and got some Diablo sugar-free retro sweets from Amazon : similar sweetener composition. I'll try a bar this weekend and see how it goes.
