No lunch as went for afternoon tea - 2 cranberry scones with clotted cream and enough Earl Grey tea to sink a battleship!

B. White coffee with sweetener.
L. Two onion bhajis. Mug of green tea with peppermint infusion and sweetener.
S. Wholemeal bread egg mayo sandwich. Royal Gala Apple. One square 37% cocoa (bought it by mistake - really!) mint crisp milk chocolate.
Some walnuts and hazelnuts.
One 187ml bottle of Californian Merlot and a couple of Babybels after 9pm.
Brunch: sausage, bacon and egg
S: slice of marzipanned and iced christmas cake. GB 10.8. Oh. Dear.
D: sprouts and bacon fried in butter, cabbage, leeks and green beans in a cheese sauce.
I'm a bit baffled as to what happened physiologically today. After the cake my BG went up to 10.8 and I couldn't get it to come down. However, 30 mins after eating dinner it had come back down to 6.2. I would expect it to go up after eating - not down.

L. Two slices toasted Wholemeal & Oat bread with peanut butter. Mug of white tea with sweetener.
T. Mincepie with double cream. Mug of white tea with sweetener.
S. Two buttered slices Wholemeal & Oat bread, chicken leg. Royal Gala apple. One square mint crisp milk chocolate.
B - one small slice gluten free wholemeal toast, two fried eggs, chopped parsley and a little cucumber
S - cashew nuts, chocolate snowman
D - vegetable soup followed by steamed courgettes & two veggie sausages
B. Porridge, chia seeds, ground flax, few dried cranberries, cream. Tea
S. Coffee, cream.
L. 2 ryvita buttered. 2 slices home cooked ham, 1 hard boiled egg, 2 gherkins.
D. Loads of mixed salad, with 1 hard boiled egg, 6 or 7 very thinly sliced chorizo
S. Cup of tea, 1 Rich Tea biscuit
One 'trick' I had as a T2 was when I was high I would have a very small fat only snack. Eating anything would prompt an insuln secretion so a few nuts or a piece of celery would prompt insulin without raising BG an start me heading down. I am a T1 now so that doesn't work but it worked beautifully when I was a T2
