Good morning everyone on a smasher of a sun shiney day here in the dark and dangerous north. Will it last? 5.6 this am in the micro world of blood sugars. According to the documentary, Fantastic Voyage, too much sugar in your blood interferes with the engines of micro submarines. We have a bunch of poppies to take to the Commonwealth War Graves in our local cemetery on this Armistice Day and then some breakfast I think. Art bit, another boat. Hope you have a good day, mine is a Monday. Koffy, must make koffy.
I like the Art Bit very much...
You have a good day @dunelm

Morning all from the sunshine without warmth - obviously Milton inspired me more than I thought - of L.A.. No known fbg but as detailed an analysis of my food intake yesterday as Cronometer can muster. Thank you to @JohnEGreen , @karen8967 and @gennepher for sharing the poppy themed artwork yesterday. Dunelm thank you for sharing your art yesterday and today. I'm having to revisit the skill of pushing down the foil top on a glass milk bottle since JKP has decided that back to the future is the way forward. Seems she has caught the zeitgeist virus. Do enjoy your Monday.
Thank you Ian.....
Now save all those foil tops @ianpspurs for the lady who collects all the silver foil you could when you were a child for the blind, and you squeezed it into a tight ball for her. I leapt on anyone who opened a silver foil covered sweet to collect the foil. I always managed to collect more than my brother, that was a personal goal for me. There wasn't much I could succeed at because I was a girl, and he was the golden boy....And my reward was a pat on the head from the old kindly white-haired lady who collected the silver foil from us for the blind.

Now, I am off to chase that sun because it won't get up this morning...

i had never heard of anyone collecting foil so that is good to know and even better to read that you succeeded in your personal goal. The milk deliveries in my small village back in the late 50s and 60s were made by a German POW couple which looking back was very enlightened for a deeply nativist, quite divided Baptist V C of E village. I hope you find the sun.

Extremely stressed after a nearly sleepless night. Am thinking of pulling my out of the sale until we have got at least an idea of where we are going to live.
We have so much stuff. Much of it in the
Stable, barn or enormous tin shed. A lot is useless, the rest is heavy. I am totally inadequate to deal with all this.
Besides I am supposed to keep the house and garden tidy. House ok. But garden, the grass and weeds keep growing. After last week am not prepared to try mowing again and the moles are once more out of control and making significant amounts of huge molehills. It's cold and damp outside. Weeding does not appeal.
Have arranged to have some friends over for lunch on Wednesday, but atm feel unable to be a good host as way too uptight and stressed.
One good thing have got care for Kiki from 23- 27 Nov settled. But I will have to come back on my own until just before Christmas.
Not looking forward to that.

Insulin
8.7 at 03.45 today. Down to 7.4 before breakfast.

My 82 year old brother has just decided to learn to bake. His first attempt was a bread pudding - his favourite since he was a boy - and was a success, I'm told. He tried a second recipe for some kind of oat traybake which he felt was tasty but didn't look particularly good. He has gathered a lot of recipes which he'll try over the next while. His wife and I are quite amused by this new development.

Hoping you have a lovely day.

Aye, pa badger is not the happy go lucky swinger I thought he was ....

How are you enjoying the ex YouTube life ?

Looks like insta & tiktok tick a lot of boxes for you .
Yes they do @jjraak
I am sad that I had to go elsewhere, because I invested a lot in YouTube, but something in its algorithm didn't "like me'. On googling I found other people were having the same problems as me.

Thank you @gennepher however things are feeling worse this morning as I have discovered more problems with the house that I cant fix.
Am wondering how much it would cost us if we did back out of sale. Financial cost?
Would MrSlim ever forgive me is the real question.

Good morning everyone on another overcast start to what is commonly called Chewsday here in the dark and dangerous north. I have had a code in by doze for the past few days but it now seems to be clearing up. Good job too as the number of tissues used is interfering with govt plans to go all net zero. A new occupation is sweeping the region - recycling bin snooper. If they find any item, no matter how small, that is not on the ever changing and secret recycling list, they put a sticker on your bin and the bin cavalcade ignore it. Solution is to a, not put anything in the recycling bin or b, nip out and rip off any sticker before the bin cavalcade arrives. Art bit, some red roofs. Hope your day is warmer than it is round here at present. Diabetes review today but first, some koffy.

Please forgive me for being forward (but I tend to be that way), but I think Mr Slim should be with you at this point of time in the sale of your house to ensure it all goes through smoothly.

You and Mr Slim need to have a heart to heart, albeit by Skype/Zoom. You need to stop keeping things from him, in your belief that he won't be worried. You need to lay everything out to him, and both of you discuss, properly.

This is doing your health no good.

(PS...I am the person who would have been exactly as you are now, shouldering everything, so I do understand how you feel)

Hugs @SlimLizzy x

We also have rubbish wheelie bin snoopers here. I have actually seen them in action in our road.

I put everything out as late as possible, just minutes before they arrive if feasible...and if they are late in collecting, I go out periodically to check someone/neighbour hasn't added an extra bin bag to my wheelie, or thrown some extra rubbish into my recycle bag. I have had an extra rubbish bin bag added into my rubbish wheelie.

I like the Art bit, especially the bits of red added @dunelm

Thank you @gennepher and yes, you can’t be too careful now when it comes to putting out the wheelie bins. Stay low, keep to the shadows and wear a cloaking device.

This has happened to us on several occasions often it is youngsters making their way between local shop and school disposing of sweet wrappers or snack packaging also other sundry items in our bin as they walk down our back lane most annoying.
