Keep at it. Sooner or later something will give and lower those readings, just haven't found the right formula yet.7.9 today.I give up!
No, DEBBIE SCOTT wrote 'Definitely not about the food' when telling us her bg was 3.4.Evening @RosemaryJackson. Don't think Debbie or anybody else here has said it's always about the food.
Basically, it is what you eat and your insulin response, but we know illness, injury, stress, adjustments to medication and even a sudden change in routine can affect BG readings.
A low-carb lifestyle and regular meal times seem to work well for most of us, most of the time. Fortunately, they are two aspects of diabetes management, over which we have some control.
Are the Libre worth the money ?Morning All @flonvic me too 7.9 not liking these new strips lol. I really don’t know how to get out of this rut other than carrying on carrying on. Am going away for a few days next Sunday so might pop a Libre on to at least see trends.
Better day tomorrow.
I wonder if the humidity is affecting our numbers ?Morning all. 8.2 this morning.
The humidity and maybe me falling off the wagon and eating 3 biscuits?? I should be saying that (get thee behind me Satan!)I wonder if the humidity is affecting our numbers ?
You are doing so well.7.4 this morning at 6am ..did drop down to 6.7 after food and a long walk .
I found the first 2 or 3 to be invaluable in that they showed what certain foods were doing to my bg. Once I'd learned I didn't need to wear one all the time. Now I just wear one 2 or 3 times a year, mainly for holidays or business trips where I'm not totally in control of my food. So at annual costs of £100-150 I find them worth it for me. I wouldn't however wear one continually at a cost of £1300 annually. Are the Libre worth the money ?
Thank you .You are doing so well.
Do you particularly like cider? @ChrisT2. Most ciders contain a lot of sugar, so not a good choice for type 2 diabetics. There are better options.6.7 this AM but going to keep a close watch on the daily increase. This will be the 4th day of punishment for being a "bad boy." At least I have several months before my Hb1ac test to try and recover the situation.
