7,8. Long night, in the company of yet another kidney stone. Hoping to pass it quickly, because I am not looking forward to it, and want it over with!

Hope others here have had a better night, and will be having an excellent weekend!
Hubby is at the hospital now with suspected kidney stones.waiting for a ct scan to confirm.Hes had them before,so he knows what to expect!Ouch.

over selling.... oh so many things are enthusiastically oversold
Contour next -5.5

Libre - 5.6

- I’m giving my fingers a holiday from jabbing for a while although I’ve found the contour next more reliable than the libre .

Fascinating stuff... Sixes all through the night, (nightmares, some physical aches and pains, waking often) save for one compression low around 3:30, woke up just now to a 5.2, which then would technically be my FBG this morning. Took 5 minutes or so to shoot up to 6,9, and rising. All I did was feed and hug the cats!

Seeing dawn phenomenon at work in real time... Woa. And very revealing, being relatively high while fasting all night. I go lower between meals. If that sensor didn't ache/itch and require antihistamines, I'd have one all the time. Love it!

Have a beautiful Sunday everyone. (Sorry I talked too much, it's just a little exciting to see all this going on.)

Hope they can help him soon, or it passes quicky on its own. I think I've passed well over 20, maybe 30 by now, and had one that was too big to pass naturally, sonically shattered, but it never gets to be "old hat". I literally feel his pain, ha! Fingers crossed all will be well and pain-free right quick!

A welcome 6 this morning. My lowest is on average 4mmol/l at 4am then it just goes up and up steadily from then on to a max of around 9 at midday. Nothing seems to influence this rise other than small spikes or bumps dependent on food choices. Fasting doesn't alter the rise levels just smooths out the spikes. Really struggling to find a way of keeping the levels lower or at least mid range in order to reduce meds but yet to find the answer.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm seriously thinking of asking for meds.

Yesterday I only ate a small (5oz) piece of pork meat and 250 ml of coconut milk. - the meat was very overcooked I thought . An hour later Im running to the loo with diarrhea.

After a couple of Imodium ( I’ve learnt never to travel without Imodium ) I settled to sleep around 3:30

It’s now 8;30 and my libre says 4.9

On with the day

Take care all

Been up in sixes all night, and when I woke this morning I was a pleasing 5,2. That lasted for about 5 minutes: Foot-on-floor, setting breakfast and wishing the hubby good morning, and saying I heard someone scraping ice off their windshield, so to be ready for the extra time it'll take to work.... Boom, I'm hitting a 7 now. Just walking and talking for a bit. Really amazing thing, that CGM. I had a feeling I was high throughout the night due to nightmares and frequent waking, some pain too. I am, but not as badly as I feared. I do have a little dip early in the morning, after all. Yay, dip! :)

Now I do hope those high nightly readings'll calm down some as I lose fat off my liver... That's the goal, anyway.

So here's to feeling hopeful on Blue Monday. Wishing you all a much better day than the name implies.
Hugs,
Jo

6.6 this morning. It may be a "Blue Monday" but at the start of the work week I always make mental resolutions that this week will be lower carb and low readings for once. Sadly usually broken by Wednesday or Thursday but always worth a try. I know I'm weird but it's my way of coping with blood sugar reduction. Good luck all.

Winner for the "technically speaking" FBG this morning. Hugs for the not nice things going on in your life .

Morning All 7.7 and 6.6 yesterday, would like 5.5 to o but mot 8.8.
@ChrisT2 my 6.6 was after Chinese t/a which was King Prawn stirfried with ginger & spring onion and a side of pak choi. Just an idea that works for me.
Stay well, get well all and stay safe.

Thanks I will give it a try, almost all chinese for me does my BS no good at all and it has always been a guilty pleasure. (Even more so these days.) Sadly there seems to be very little items on the menu that suit low carb and even the veggie things give me a great spike so they must put something "evil" in it, probably sugar in the sauce. I am always grateful though for suggestions as Friday night takeaway will remain a guilt trip for a while yet.
