An unexplained 6.6. Sigh
Went to the gym for a 45 min bike ride and a few abs…I was pooped. I did a lot of shovelling yesterday body is telling me to take a rest. It’s foggy and just above zero….what I would call gloomy.
Story time. At the gym today a friend asked me if I had heard about another friends hubby….no, do tell….well it seems he hasn’t been feeling the best lately and was rushed to the hospital. Turns out he had a blood sugar reading of 70! OMG….how is he still alive? He has no history of diabetes and is 68 years old, loves his sweets. Details to come later.

Sorry to hear rush to hospital. What unit of measurement ? mg/dL or mmol/L or other unit of measurement? Lowest reading I've had 2.3 fingerprick. Hypoland. Highest 'Hi: on blood glucose meter. Hba1c highest known for me 162mmol

Hope your able to listen to your body and manage to get a nice wee rest day within your friends hubby a swift recovery

Mmol/L….so 70 is extremely high. I hate it when I go above 7….cant imagine 70

4.8 libre just before breakfast. managed to get some xmas shopping done yesterday urgh at queues still got some to do. daughter regretting her decision not to of done weeks ago lol knew that would happen :)

lunch more carby than usual 16-24g. dhall curry 3 ladles. stole 5 salt and pepper chips and a single small veg pakora alongside loads of cucumber, fancied a little watermelon for pudding, water to drink. loads of walking. guessing around 46-48g net carbs (based on looked around double the 22g homemade dhall at home)

evening meal had a small sugar free hazlenut latte from starbucks. surprised at carb content looked up and found out 17g in that had expected it to be less.

didn't return to normal fasting levels til around 7.5 hours later (within 2 mmol of finishing food). guess need to work out personal carb limit. brightside ketones lowest measured for months 0.9 usually ketones fair bit higher with me, decided to test as didn't move down for hours. Plan on doing some xmas wrapping and check off list of persons usually buy for so know exactly what need for anyone else. Wee walk later if dry. already had breakfast and 20 min walk.

Had a go at making chocolate yesterday. Of course the view was to make something as low carb as possible

. Mixed together the melted cocoa fat, cocoa powder, cream powder , vanilla essence and a dash of stevia. All good

Dipping strawberries in the mix not such a good plan. Tasty mind

All night according to libre my glucose levels have been around six point five

“Good morning, everyone. My fasting glucose was 4.88 mmol/L at 6 a.m.—up early as usual. Living with T2 means every day is a challenge to keep those numbers in check, and I often find myself sticking to the same routine meals to stay on track. Wishing you all a great day.”
