This may just be me, or does anyonelse feel hungry when their bs are high?
I stupidly had a slice of pizza today at Pizza Hut - ok it was 2 slices  (tut, tut I know, but it was my neices 5th birthday pary!!)Anyway, my bs went upto 18..argh!!! Strangley enough I felt really hungry at this point. Is this just a coincidence, or would there be a reason for this?

Hi smitha,

Both high and low blood sugar levels can trigger hunger. This is due to your body being unable to utilize glucose from your blood, either because of a lack of insulin (in the case of high blood sugar) or because the glucose isn't there (in the case of low blood sugar).

timo.
