will i put weight on?

I am a newly diagnosed type 1 22 yrs old and weigh 9 n half stone and have a gud diet and eat lots of veg etc. Will insulin make me gain weight? ive always tried to keep my weight steady and will be so upset if i gain weight, some people say i will lose weight?

if u lost weight before diagnosis you may put that back on but i havent put any weight on with insulin, if u eat an healthy diet there is no reason to put weight on,

soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
Look at Bernstein's doctrine of small numbers. It's perfectly possible not to put weight on, but if you "feed your insulin" as so many do, unfortunately weight gain is likely to be the result.

thanks totsy,
i lost a few pounds but luckily i caught it very early so didnt lose much.
my bg was 33 wen i was diagnosed, now its up and down and my insulin is being changed every day pretty much so its all a bit scary!

yes it is scary at first but youve done well to find this forum as i was 4 yrs before i joined, just keep asking the questions and you will soon pick it up :D
