i have type 1 diabetes which i have had since the age of 7. i have recently changed to lanctus long acting insulin and novorapid 3 times a day. shortly after the change i started getting hypos in the morning time, and now have reduced my lactus and now have good control, although in dec 17 2008 i had a hypo in work through a fault of my own rushing to get finished and not eatin enough. I drive a flt in a warehouse and also a shunter where i pull loaded and unloaded hgv trailers around a yard and into a loading bay. after seeing an occupational health advisor , they have now sent a report to my employer stating i should not drive a flt until i am clear of hyppos for 6 months but am able to drive the shunt motor with trailer which can pull a maximum weight of 44 ton where the flt can lift a max of 1.5ton. is there any way i can appeal this decision, either through legal channels or any other way

An employment lawyer is the only person who could help you for certain, but showing you now have good control and that the hypos were a temporary result of a medication change should help.
