worryingly high blood tests

Hello, I have just joined the forum. I have recently been having very high blood tests (mainly in the evening) up in the 20's. I have been getting this for around a month now on and off and have never experienced this before. I cant seem to find a simple answer to why this is happening. I am 21 and have had diabetes for 10 years. My hbA1c has been around 7.5 for about 5 years and my blood pressure is low. The only real change that has happened since these recordings are that I have started a full time job, which I have been stressed quite alot. I do two shifts, one which starts at 7.30am and im having breakfast at 6.45 which im not used to doing, and the other one is 10.00am. I am not sure whether it is the job however, because I have also been getting these readings at the weekends, and at times when I am not stressed. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks.

My experience of work related stress is that it does not go away just because W/E's are spent not working. The mind is a strange govenor and it took many days (for me at least a full week) before I started to wind down.

From what you have written I would hazard a guess that your stress is work related and that in turn is upseting your mind and body. When the body is stressed certain hormones are circulating and these in turn not only tell your liver to dump glucose but some also affect how the body deals with glucose so the test readings will show this.
The only way to be sure is to see your specialist and hand over all the facts and figures.
