NHS Lothian has set up a new resource for people with diabetes in the Lothians. The new website will help people with diabetes to manage their condition, organise diabetes clinics and access useful diabetes information .
Furthermore, the website will allow diabetics to download self-referral forms for podiatry, not to mention giving people with diabetes access to up-to-date research results. The website is part of a wider initiaitive to improve information for people with diabetes .
Lead clinician for diabetes at the health board, Dr. Knight, was reported as commenting: “Education and information for patients with diabetes and their carers is important to enable patients to look after their diabetes and remain healthy. This website, developed locally, provides another opportunity for people to find useful and up-to-date information.”
