According to recent diabetes research, short bursts of rigorous exercise could fundamentally alter the way in which the body processes sugars and fights diabetes, according to a new study.
A research document published in BMC Endocrine Disorders indicates that intense exercise could help to lower the risk of diabetes . The research was conducted by a team at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Professor James Timmons subjected participants to quick sprints, and reportedly commented: “This novel approach may help people to lead a healthier life, improve the future health of the population, and save the health service millions of pounds [or dollars] simply by making it easier for people to find the time to exercise.”
