    Just an update really. Been eating lower carbs and think that’s going well. I had a chat with my brother last weekend, he’s type2. He tested my blood, which was 4.4, said there was nothing wrong with me. Then told me all about his diabetes. Wasn’t what I was after really but not to worry...

    Hi Bluetit1802, I’ve been looking at machines from the link you gave. I’m happy with the machine and strips, so I know what I need there but not sure about what I need to prick my finger. Can someone advise please. Thank you.

    Thank you all for all the info, links and warm welcome, feeling calmer about things now. I'm going to do some research and order myself a machine and strips. As well as a meal plan for the coming week but now I have a place to start from.

    Hello, no I haven't got a meter but I will look into that. I do have a food diary app already, so I'll see if it has a space for BS. The low GI does include carbs, I thought as they were more "healthy" they would be better. Also I have probably included more in my diet recently than I should...

    Thank you for your reply. I will try the cauliflower rice and the lasagna idea. I have seen some recipes for lettuce wraps, so will give them ago as well. Suppose it's just a matter of rethinking things.
