The above should suffice for now. Exeept to say my life long companion and wife and friend and lover is the diabetic. Brittle like crazy since 1974. Just got her out of the ICU and aggreed to manage her care at our home. The ICU did a poor job of controlling here blood sugar. So far so am I. I'm nearly as forgetful as she and forgot one of her injections today. I am unsure of myself in this job because.
My presence here is a cry for help....... based in science please. There is so much I don't know. Like Her readings was high all day to day in the 400s and above, We finally have it down to 335, she is sleeping, I am sweating the thought of her staying asleep if her readings haven't come down from the last 8 u. of novalog earlier. I'd like to check one more time before going to sleep. I would like to see 250 or thereabouts to feel good about getting some sleep.
I'm using a sliding scale given buy the ICU staff that uses Novalog to cover meals and lantus long acting insulin at night. I havent given that yet. Bit will.
I am interested in alternative medicine but Sooooooo Sceptical over the glut of marketing an us Geezers as we are somstimes known. That's it for now , I'm running out of wakefulness.
