Well! This is surprising yesterday evening I made a sort of dal up using green lentils and yellow split peas.
Put 150g of each in to cook after a good wash.
Added turmeric 3 tsp
Finely chopped shallots approx 50g
Cummin seeds 1 tsp
Ground coriander1 tsp
4 cloves garlic
A 1/4 teaspoon harissa
Big handful fresh coriander
Squeeze of lemon juice
2 x kaffir lime leaves
Fried the onions, garlic in coconut oil, added Cummin seeds then after a minute the remaining dried spaces.
Chucked the lentil/split peas in and stir well, added stock till about 2" above lentil mix.
Simmered for about 60 mins stir often adding more liquid if required halfway add the fresh coriander
Had some late last night about 140g in bowl I tested at 1am then1.30 -2 -2.30 and 3am starting bg was 5.6
At 3 am was 6.4 was awake again by 5am so tested and 5.9
Had some again for lunch and very similar pattern.
