My new toy!

This is my new gadget, a spiralizer - it's amazing have made a lovely cucumber and radish salad and tonight I made courgette noodles with prawns and a sauce made with cream cheese and chilli.

I am itching to play more but holding back until I can make something proper to eat rather than just play

My prawn with noodles, only 5g of carbs and 160cals. It was delish

It may still be a lancing device Nigel, the blades are extremely sharp, makes great noodles in two thicknesses and spirals, I love my veg and wanted different ways if doing it and though I am not an extreme low carber with about 90g a day I don't eat pasta but really miss the sauces I used to make for pasta and wanted a substitute

It's courgette claymic and it really gives a good result, if you google spiralizer you will gets lots of info. I think anyone who is very low carb would love it

Came across a small stainless steel one today for twenty quid so got it.
Got it home to l;ate to do anything so had a quick play ... fantastic.
Can't wait to deep fry a spiralized potatoe for the grandkids.

I can really recommend if anyone is thinking about it it's the best £30 I have spent, the downside of most gadgets is usually the clean up but this is just rinse and wipe, so easy. I got mine from the site that Annie above has posted the link to.

I bought one a while back solely for making courgette noodles. It works so well!
In fact you end up using it for all sorts as it allows a variation on what is sometimes
a rather restricted diet. I got mine from Amazon, I would add its worth scrolling through
the search of Amazon as I found the unit had a variety of prices and managed to get
the same one as one of the first listed for £10 cheaper.
