Having read with dismay that there is a connection between steroid inhalers used to treat asthma and diabetes, and seeing people on here report an impact on their blood sugar readings, I had a look around for alternatives and came across Intal and Tilade inhalers. I wondered if anyone has used them or knows much about them? Having not used a steroid inhaler for years I've been using one again since November and am still struggling to get my asthma fully under control.

I am on Symbicorte and have been since it first came and it doesn't affect my bg at all. Usually you'll need much higher doses, like when you are on cortisol tablets for it to affect bg.

You might benefit from extra vitamin D. Have you had it checked? There are conflicting research but some seem to get better effect from the inhalers if they also take vitamin D.and it can have other benefits too.
