Robin Ellis, who played the original Ross Poldark on TV was tonight on the One Show.

Apparently his mum was Type 1, and he was diagnosed T2 quite a few years ago.

He's very keen on cooking and has written several books of diabetic- friendly recipes.

i liked the idea of his his "no potato fishcakes" but for those of us who find chickpea flour still too carby, I prefer the substitution of potato with celeriac (or as my wife & daughter call it Ood heads (sorry Whovians))
