neuropathy

im type 2 and taking metformin and also forxiga for the last couple of months aswell. losing weight and sugars coming down.eating sensibly cut out carbs and lots of good protein and salads etc. for the past couple of weeks i have had what is presumably neuropathy in one foot. im waiting on x ray results on tuesday incase its anything mechanical but im in such pain with it. i already take 20mg amytripline for tingling in one thigh and its works fine so i asked if i could increase dosage and got told no and had a referral made to a vascular specialist in a couple of weeks i think the appointment is. the numbness tingling and pain in my foot is unbearable and i just wondered if anyone has any ideas what i can do to make it more comfortable, cant walk cant sleep, and really peed of with this. thanks

I'm not the best person to help as I'm a type 1 without neuropathy, but I wanted to bump your post in the hope that someone more knowledgable will be along.
