Menopause and T2

Me again!!! Having just been diagnosed with T2 Diabetes, does the fact that I am menopausal have any bearing on the condition or the LCHF and fasting diets or any medication I may have to take. I also read that Vitamin D deficiency can cause T2 and I was deficient earlier in the year but am now up to normal levels.

I've been menopausal since my early thirties. I'm not aware of anything that we need to do any different for diabetes.
