    heavy legs and arms

One of my first symptoms. Heavy leg's and arm's, again like the rest once I got my carbs sorted out everything seems normal. One thing to be aware of is the good diet will start to sort out some of your issues and feel better, at this point you will think it's gone away and slip back to old ways.

    Type 1: Breakfast Dilemma

I really enjoy it, more than the porridge. Contains a real taste sensation of sweet and sour, as well as having plenty goodness. Protein from the yogurt and nuts. The seeds and red currents for good digestive health, blackberries work nice with the currants on the sour side and strawberries and...

Well done for telling you brother. Both my parents have type 2 diagnosed at 60+. So you would have thought I would of known better, but when your in your late 20's you couldn't careless. 5 to 6 cans of Stella would be about right for me, but JD and Coke as a spirit. With a couple of cannabis...

Newbie......Am I Diabetic? Am I just in denial?

Yeah Heretic1, I sometimes wish I had made some different life choices, but I was too wrapped up in it all, and even if someone pulled me to one side a year before and told me it would happen I would have probably laughed at them and ordered another Beer. Once you get everything into place it's...

Newbie......Am I Diabetic? Am I just in denial?

Same here with the love carbs thing. I called my previous diet the Elvis Presley, I only ever ate foods I liked. So Burgers, Chips, Pizza eat out or takeaways, all washed down with flagons of ale. So to be honest the writing was on the wall for me as well :-)

Newbie......Am I Diabetic? Am I just in denial?

I actually didn't want to believe it was happening and carried on as normal for about a year, kept falling ill. This was not helped by a tumour in the soft tissue along my jaw and nasal cavity. Once the tumour was removed and I got over the shock of not having enough bone to have screw in teeth...

I wouldn't say I was unhappy with the life choices, but the Doctor said carry on the way your going, I'll just keep making the appointments with the hospital. How to make my life more successful?

You sound like a frustrated artist. Grab yourself a sketch book, few pencils. Water and some lunch. Then go draw. Landscapes, City scapes, seafront scene's, and in woods. Just what ever you have around. You might find you have a real talent waiting to be unlocked. Sent from my Nexus 5 using...

    Clothes Shopping this weekend

Thanks for the advice, however I do tend to steer clear of citrus fruits. I know these can really affect my moods. Like I say I never experienced anything like it before. My wife says it's my choice of music mixed with diabetes and possibly something I'm eating or something I've cut out, like a...

    Clothes Shopping this weekend

Had a great shopping trip this weekend and the diet is paying off. I just bought my first pair of 34" waist jeans in a decade. My waist size had been gaining over the last 10 years to a 38" and my weight had gone up to 14st 6. Feeling so much better now. I still have what I would call Dark...
