Can anyone recommend an accurate blood pressure monitor?

Thanks everyone for your input. After much more consideration with the help of this thread, in the end I bought an Omron basic arm one. It was a very reasonable price too of £20! I'll take it with me on my next visit to the consultant. Thanks again.

Can anyone recommend an accurate blood pressure monitor?

Thank you very much for the advice. Yes someone lent me their wrist one and I was very dubious of the result. It was later mentioned that it was better to go for an arm one.

Yes it doesn't seem too bad, I think we will go with that and not wait for the other as we are getting close to exchanging contracts on the house. Bon accord life also said they would match if we got a cheaper quote.

Hi All, Well I have finally got a quote back from one broker Bon Accord Life. It took ages to get the doctor to send back a health report, but no surprises there. The quote also considers other health issues on our records but mainly the diabetes I was advised. So for joint cover for both my...

sw11bloke- That is pretty impressive then to get it that price, I take it that's for single cover? I think the cheapest I was quoted for single cover was £27. I'll be sure to give them a call. So far through various brokers, the cheapest for joint cover seems to be through either AVIVA or...

    Life insurance for diabetics

Yes sure no probs. it was for £190,000 decreasing so goes down with the mortgage repayments which makes it cheaper. It's for joint cover so it would be for my partner and I. Age does come into it as we'll I'm 34 and partner 38 so will be slightly higher so the younger you get it the better as it...

    Life insurance for diabetics

Hiya, I'm really grateful you said that. I just checked the 'personalised illustration' and it only mentions building insurance!! Thanks for that. However, I will get it anyway as like you say it's good to have and I have a family and I'm the main earner. It means now that I don't have to be in...

Sorry to hear that. So far I've got past the initial stage and have been told there shouldn't be a problem. Just got to wait to hear back about the doctors report that one insurance company requires.

Please can coconut oil reduce blood sugar

With my Medical Librarian hat on, I would say take any of this kind thing with a pinch of salt, what evidence shows that it does? Put it this way if it really did, then the doctor would recommend it. However, there is no harm in trying it I guess.
