    Type 1 Carb question

As you’ve mentioned out of 20g, only 1g was ‘of which sugars’, it seems you’ve had a very low GI food. Eg if you had 20g of haribo, the ‘of which sugars’ would likely be about 19g, and would hit your body quickly. Low GI foods hit the body much slower

Ono - this is what I was referring to. Anyone else noticed/action on this?

    GI calculation

I've noticed there's a strong link between foods that have high GI, and high %age of 'of which sugars' to total carbs, and the same for low. Does anyone use this when working out insulin doses?

    Rapid change in control

I've always just corrected it in a dose of QA insulin. It does make you feel tired and a bit lazy, but it's needed. If you ate a high QA carb meal, your bloods could easily reach 16+ and come down within two hours with your bolus so nothing wrong in doing it..?

Thanks. I'm starting to feel demotivated about diabetes care. It seems even with maximum effort that I can't win.

No not at all. In fact the opposite. My DSN was delighted when she saw my results! Don't feel like I can do anything right at the minute. :***:
